716 ESB customers are without electricity as a result of the yellow wind warning that was issued for Co. Leitrim over the weekend.

Hundreds of homes in Boyle and surrounding areas were left without electricity for a week, due to Storm Darragh.

They're being served in King House Tea Rooms from 1 o'clock until 5 o'clock, with music also being played.

Goods worth a total value of €800 were stolen from a number of retail outlets across the town.

The Irish Road Hauliers Association is calling for a more serious response, as many lorry drivers risk being stranded in the UK over the festive period.
