Andrew (Andy) Connaughton

Wednesday, June 12th, 2024, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff at the Sacred Heart Care Home, Roscommon.
Predeceased by his brother Thomas and brother-in-law Padraig
Much loved and devoted husband to Patsy and dear father of Brian, Tom, Andrew, Padraig, David, Aidan, Martin, Noel, Paul and his adored daughter, the late Sinéad. Sadly missed by his family, brother Bernard (Portumna), sisters; Mary (Galway) and Bridie (Woodford), daughters-in-law; Imelda, Deirdre, Loretta, Olivia, Bernie and Aishling. Always remembered by his grandchildren; Aaron, Rachel, Ethan, Louise, Aisling, Gary, Ciara, Daniel, Emma, Seoirse, Alisha, Brandon, Mia and Sophie. Deeply regretted by his sister-in-law Dolores, brother-in-law Seamus, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon on Friday evening 5.30 pm until 7.30 pm. Removal from the family home in Sandfield on Saturday morning at 10.30 am, arriving at St Patrick’s Church, Knockcroghery for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 am. Burial afterwards in Gailey Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Sacred Heart Home Patient’s Comfort Fund.
The Connaughton family would sincerely like to thank the staff at the Sacred Heart Care Home, Roscommon for the wonderful care and dignity shown to them and to Andy during his time there. They also would like to acknowledge their friends and neighbours for their kindness at this time.
