Catherine (Katie) Kelly (nee Stephens)
Lisaniskey, Donamon, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Slieveroe, Kilkerrin, Co. Galway.
Wednesday, October 9th, peacefully, in her 97th year, in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of The Sacred Heart Hospital, Roscommon, surrounded by her loving family.
Catherine (Katie) Kelly (nee Stephens) is predeceased by her husband James (Sonny), grandson Alan, granddaughter-in-law Aoife, parents Patrick and Mary, sister and brothers.
Katie will be deeply missed by her children; Padraic, Tommie, Mary (Sullivan), Seamus, Marguerite, John, Anne Marie (Sullivan), Cathriona (Donnellan) and Paul. Her 9 grandchildren; Lorraine, Ronan, Gabriel, Andrew, Conor, Katie, Rory, Amy and Laura. 5 greatgrandchildren; Lucy, Finn, Sam, Harry and Fiadh, daughters-in-law; Mary, Magdalen, Kay and Marian, John’s partner Medz. Sons-in-law; Aidan, Dara and Billy, sisters; Baby Naughton (Kilkerrin) and Maureen Connolly (Menlough), brother Ambrose (London). Nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and neighbours.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Friday evening from 6.30pm until 8.30pm. Removal from her home on Saturday morning, arriving to St Patrick’s Church, Clooneycolgan (F42 NR28) for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’clock. Burial afterwards in Oran Cemetery.
