Edel Beisty (née Knight)
Hyde Court, Roscommon Town and Ballina, Co Mayo.
October 13th, 2024, after a long illness borne with great dignity and courage, in the presence of her beloved family and in the wonderful care of the staff at The Roscommon Hospice.
Predeceased by her parents Gerald and Tess and her sisters Kitty and Marie.
Beloved wife of Paul and deeply loved mother of Eva, Ellen and Tom.
Deeply mourned by her heartbroken family, brothers Gerry and Tommy, sisters Breege, Assumpta, Josephine and Pauline. Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, neighbours and friends.
May Edel rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Tuesday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Removal from her home on Wednesday morning at 10.20am arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’clock. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery.

The Beisty family would like to express their thanks to all those who took care of Edel during her illness. Especially the doctors, nurses and staff at Galway University Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Roscommon University Hospital and The Roscommon Hospice.
