Fr Benny Flanagan passed away on Sunday, 9th March 2025, aged 85, peacefully at Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe.
Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Katie, brothers Tom and James, sister Madeline, brother-in-law Martin and sister-in-law Madge.
Deeply regretted by his sister Sr. Marie, sister-in-law Nuala, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives,
Bishop Michael Duignan, Bishop Emeritus John Kirby, the priests of the diocese, other relatives, parishioners, colleagues, neighbours and many good friends.
Reposing at Grenhams Funeral Home, Ballinasloe, Wednesday 12th March 2025 from 4pm until 7pm.
Followed by removal to St. Michael's Church, Ballinasloe.
Funeral Mass on Thursday 13th March 2025 at 12 noon.
Followed by burial afterwards in Kilcroan Cemetery, Ballymoe.
