Gerard Rooney passed away on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, peacefully, after a very short illness, in the care of the staff at Mullingar Regional Hospital.
Predeceased by his parents Bob and Bella, sister Molly and brother Sean.
Sadly missed by his family; Damien, Paul, Mary and David. Deeply regretted by his brothers Robert and Brendan, sister Anne, daughters-in-law Jaime, Karo and Bernadette, son-in-law Brían. Always remembered by his grandchildren Eleanor, Rosabel, Lily and Edith. Missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Thursday evening from 5 o’c until 7 o’c. Removal from his home in Lough Ree Park on Friday morning at 11.30 o’c arriving to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Ballyleague for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 o’c. Burial afterwards in Cloontuskert Cemetery.
