James (Jimmy) Hughes

James (Jimmy) Hughes passed away on February 15th 2025; (Peacefully), in the wonderful devoted care of the staff of The Brothers of Charity Services.
Beloved son of the late Jack and Eileen and much loved brother to Anne Cuddy (Loughrea), Paddy (Kilbegnet), Bernie Heavey (Castlebar) and Val (Newcastle, U.K.).
He will be very sadly mourned by his family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and by his many friends and carers in the Brothers of Charity.
May Jimmy rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon (F42 NH27) on Monday evening from 6.30 o’c until 8 o’c. Removal on Tuesday morning to St Mary’s Church, Kilbegnet arriving for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in Kilbegnet Cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donation if desired to The Brothers of Charity Services.
The Hughes family would like to express their sincere to all Jimmy’s carers and friends.
