Lena Fetherstone (née Sharkey) died on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024; unexpectedly but peacefully at her home, in her 93rd year, surrounded by her loving family.
Devoted and loving wife of the late Jimmy. She will be forever remembered by her much loved family; Seamus, P.J., Marie Saunders (Scramogue), Virginia (Knappogue, Clondra), David, Noel and Derek, her 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law; Trudie, Tina, Angela and Sharron, son-in-law John, Virginia’s partner Liam, sisters; Maura (England), Evelyn (Cloontuskert) and Nance (Elphin), sister-in-law Chrissie (England), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Lena is also predeceased by her parents; James and Kathleen, sisters; Bridie and Tess and brothers; Seamus and Micheál.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon on Thursday evening from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock. Removal from her home on Friday morning at 10.30am, arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery.
