Mary Ellen O'Reilly passed away on Friday, January 17th, 2025, at Cavan General Hospital.

Distinguished musician and community activist.

Beloved mother of Michael O'Reilly-Powell (Rotterdam). Sister of Eamonn O'Reilly, Belturbet, Aunt of Deirdre O'Reilly M.D. (Burlington, Vermont) and Padraic M O'Reilly (Boston MA). Sadly missed by her extended family, neighbours, and friends and all who knew her.

Rest in Peace

A private cremation will take place followed by Mary's Funeral Mass, which will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Staghall, Belturbet on Friday, January 24th at 2pm. Burial of ashes afterwards in the family plot in the adjoining cemetery.
