Maura Hegarty (née Culhane) passed away on Monday, September 9th, 2024. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital.
Predeceased by her parents, Bridie and Dick Culhane, Aughnacliffe, Co Longford.
Much loved mother to Diarmuid and Niall and cherished grandmother to Hannah, Drew and Ava. Sadly missed by her family, her brother Richard, sisters; Bríd (Culhane), Áine (McCormack), Pauline (Naughton) and Déirdre (Ní Cathaláin), daughters-in-law Sharon and Catríona, extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends.
May She Rest in Peace.
Maura will repose at her home on Wednesday, September 11th for family and close friends only from 4 pm until 8 pm. Removal from her home on Thursday morning (house private at this time please) to St. Colmcille’s Church, Aughnacliffe, Co Longford (N39 K603) for Mass of the Resurrection at 1pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery
The Hegarty and Culhane family would like to express their thanks to all those who took care of Maura during her illness, especially the doctors, nurses and staff at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Portiuncula University Hospital and Roscommon University Hospital. They would also like to acknowledge her neighbours and friends for their kindness and prayers at this time.
