Corbane, New Inn, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway and formerly Rathpeak, Ballinasloe, Co. Roscommon

Who passed away peacefully in her 99th year, in the wonderful care of the staff of University Hospital Galway, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, 23rd July 2024.

Predeceased by her loving husband Bill, sister Delia, brothers Marty, Tom, John Joe, Michael, PJ and Willie.

Deeply missed by her sons; Gerry, Christy (New York), Colm, Ollie, PJ, Cyril (Cavan) and Ciaran (Mulhussey, Co. Meath), daughters Carmel McElligott (Moycullen) and Maura Murray, her 27 adored grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, sisters Rose Colleran (Creagh) and Kathleen Guinan (Clonshask), sons-in-law Martin and Ernie, daughters-in-law Marian, Josie, Breda, Ita, Maureen and Geraldine, sisters-in-law Nancy(NY) and Aine (NY), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours.

May will lie in repose in Áras Mhuire Funeral Home in the grounds of St. Killian’s Church, New Inn (H53P6C0) on Thursday 25th July from 5pm – 7pm.

May’s Requiem Mass will take place in St. Killian’s Church on Friday 26th July at 12 noon, followed by burial afterwards in Bullaun cemetery.

Donations if desired to the Palliative Care Unit, University Hospital Galway.

House private on Friday morning, by request.

May’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to their extended family, neighbours and friends for all their kindness and help.
