Michael (George) Downey

Michael passed away peacefully, aged 93 years, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff in Roscommon University Hospital on Friday, the 6th of December, 2024.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Kathleen and his 10 siblings.

Michael will be remembered with love & will be dearly missed by his sons; James, Anthony and Patrick, his daughters; Mary Kelly (Clonown), Angela Harrington (Shannon Harbour), Teresa Tuffy (Athenry), Liz Mullen (Boston) and Ann Cooney (Kiltullagh), daughters-in-law; Tracey, Mary and Sinead, sons in-law; John, Kieran, Declan, Brendan and Paul, his 25 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors and friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Michael will repose at Moore Community Hall, Ballydangan (N37HT68) on Sunday the 8th of December, from 6pm to 8.30pm, with removal afterwards to St. Mary's Church Moore (N37XH52). Michael's Requiem Mass will take place on Monday at 11am, with burial afterwards in Moore New Cemetery. Michael's Requiem Mass can be viewed via live stream on http://www.facebook.com/stmarysmoore.
