Rev. Larney Shine C.S.Sp. (Kimmage Manor, Dublin and late of Curnaboll, Clonown, Athlone, Co. Roscommon)
Died peacefully in the tender care of Nazareth House Nursing Home on Monday, 8th July 2024. Missionary in Ireland and Kenya, having recently celebrated the 60th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood.
Son of the late Delia (née Fallon) and Laurence Shine. Predeceased by his siblings Mary, Tommy, Michael, Nancy (Ward), Johnny, Kathleen and Willie, and his niece Norma Shine.
Deeply regretted by his sister-in-law Bridie, his nieces, nephew, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins and extended family, his many friends, fellow Spiritans and the parishioners he loyally served.
May he rest in peace.
Funeral Mass will take place in the Holy Spirit Parish Church, Kimmage Manor (D12 WP44) at 11am on Friday 12th July and may be viewed through the parish web-cam https://mcn.live/camera/holy-spirit-parish-church-kimmage, followed by burial in Clonown Cemetery, Athlone, Co. Roscommon (N37YN22) at approx 2.15pm.
