Revenue, Garda Drug Squads and a detector dog called Laddie have discovered and seized cocaine worth 1.4 million euro at Dublin Port.
One person, a 22 year old man, has been arrested in connection with drug trafficking offences.
This intelligence lead operation took place at Dublin Port yesterday, and saw Revenue Officers and the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau stop a refrigerated unit in order to search it.
Laddie the Customs Dog spotted 20 kilograms of Cocaine hidden inside.
This haul has an estimated value of 1.4 million euro.
One man, a 22 year old, was arrested in connection with the find and he's currently being questioned at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
The operation was targeting people suspected of being involved in multi national organised crime.
It included officers from Revenue, Garda Drug Units, local Gardai in Dublin and the Wicklow Wexford Division too.
Further analysis on the cocaine that was found will be carried out over the coming days, and investigations are ongoing.
