Around 100 people attended a second protest yesterday against a planned accommodation centre for refugees near Longford town.
It's after over 130 people protested outside the property on the Strokestown Road on Saturday afternoon. 19 international protection applicants - all women and children - are due to arrive at the former Westhouse Café and B&B in the next two weeks.
Fianna Fáil councillor Martin Monaghan, the cathaoirleach of Longford Municipal District, attended Saturday's protest - he says he hopes the centre does not open.
