122 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in local hospitals today

There are 122 people with Covid-19 in local hospitals, 15 of which are in intensive care units.

It's part of a wider national figure of 498 as of this morning.

UHG has the highest number in their Covid wards, with 32 confirmed cases on-site.

That's followed closely by Our Lady's Hospital Drogheda and the Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar who are currently each dealing with 27 Covid positive patients.

11 patients have been confirmed to have the virus in Sligo University Hospital while there are 9 cases of the virus each in Cavan General Hospital and Tullamore.

Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe has the region's lowest figure today, with 7 positive patients.
