Thirteen Longford women will take part in the selection process for the Rose of Tralee competition in the Longford Arms tonight.
The competition hasn't had a Longford entrant since 2019 when Marie Brady from Killoe travelled to Tralee.
Rules brought in in recent years mean that a county can only put forward a Rose entrant every two years.
Longford will be the only local county with a representative this year.
Tonight's event in Longford begins at half past seven with all thirteen finalists being interviewed on stage.
The Rose of Tralee tour is also due to visit the county later this year in the lead up to the main event in Tralee.
