Over 720,000 euro million has been granted to schools in the Shannonside Northern Sound Region under the 2021 Summer Works Scheme.
Minister for Education Norma Foley announced this morning that 31 million was being allocated to schools across the country.
In Roscommon, seven schools will benefit from the funding with 355,836 euro.
Four Longford schools have received 277,811 euro and two Leitrim schools have been approved for works to the value of 115,356 euro.
The 2021 Summer Works Scheme aims to enable schools, whose applications have been approved carry out necessary improvement works.
