The Shannonside region has recorded close to 1,400 cases of covid 19 over the last two weeks.
Updated figures from the HSE's Covid Hub are showing rising Covid-19 transmission in Longford and Leitrim.
Meanwhile, each of Roscommon's three municipal districts are reporting incidence rates below the national average of 924
Carndonagh Local Electoral Area in Donegal has the highest rate of Covid-19 in the country at close to 2,000
Locally, Manorhamilton LEA reported close to 200 covid cases in the previous two weeks with the region having the second-highest 14-day incidence rate in the country at 1,811.
Elsewhere in Leitrim, the Ballinamore and Carrick LEAs are reporting rates of 1,399 and 1,241 respectively with 271 cases of the virus reported in total.
The Longford Local Electoral Area has dropped from the top of the list, with Longford Town now reporting a rate of 1,296 and 208 new cases.
That's followed by the Granard MD, where 116 new cases in the past 2 weeks have resulted in an incidence rate of 1,086.
Ballymahon Municipal District, however, is reporting figures significantly below the national average with just 85 cases recorded and a covid rate of 600.
All three Roscommon LEAs are seeing 14-day incidence rates below the national average with almost 500 new covid cases detected across the three districts.
The Athlone local electoral area has the highest figure in the county at 850 per 100,000 people, while Roscommon and Boyle MDs have a rate of 712 and 751 respectively.
