There have been 147 Covid-19 deaths in the Shannonside Region since the 1st of March 2020.
That's according to the latest Health Protection Surveillance Centre report, as the pandemic approaches the two year mark.
The figure complies 6.5 percent of the national death toll of 5,952 Covid-19 related deaths, with the average age of the deceased in their 80s.
Over the last 2 years, the HPSC has been notified of 75 deaths in Roscommon.
Longford and Leitrim recorded the lowest number of deaths from the virus in the country, with 42 and 30 people losing their life due to Covid.
Nationally, according to health officials 3,112 people have died to date in the country's hospitals, while a further 2,034 passed away in residential facilities.
