Over 1,800 incidents involving domestic violence have been reported to Gardaí in the Shannonside Northern Sound region so far this year.
1,808 instances including a mixture of barring, safety or protection order breaches, domestic disputes and any incident type where the motive is domestic violence since January.
The Cavan Monaghan Garda Division has the highest local level at 681 incidents recorded in 9 months.
That's followed closely by the Longford/Roscommon Division at 656 instances of domestic violence reported to Gardaí.
While 471 incidents were notified to Gardaí in the Sligo Leitrim Garda area.
Nationally an average of one domestic abuse incident has been reported to the Gardaí every 15 minutes this year.
The force had dealt with 24,686 cases by September 9th - with 36 per cent in the Dublin region.
Just over 2,000 were reported in Cork, with Louth, Galway and Kildare the next highest.
