Over 20% of passengers are not turning up for outbound flights at Ireland West Airport in Knock.
That's according to the airport's marketing manager Donal Healy.
He says the company has lost 2.5 million euro in revenue this year and losses continue to mount with some travel restrictions still in place.
Passengers must take a pre-travel PCR test while on return from the U.K. travelers are advised to undertake daily antigen tests for five consecutive days.
The marketing manager says while inbound travel will be diluted this year, he is looking forward to welcoming people home for Christmas.
