It's believed that over 200 gardaí in total were involved in today's operation targeting an organised crime group in Longford.
Gardaí claim that the individuals are involved in feuding in the county, and associated with the sale and supply of controlled drugs, intimidation and extortion.
Multiple law enforcement units from within the gardai, supported by officers from the Criminal Assets Bureau, seized 110,000 euro and 14,000 sterling in cash during the course of 16 searches.
Bank accounts with over 80,000 euro were also frozen and three caravans were seized along with 11 jeeps and vans including a Mercedes and Ford Ranger.
