Over 1,200 people are currently working at the Centre Parcs resort in Longford, and the wages bill amounts to €23 million euro.
Out of the workers employed at the holiday resort 66% are from Longford, 21% are from Westmeath and the rest from other neighbouring counties.
The figures were revealed at a community forum event hosted by Centre Parcs at Cooney's hotel in the town yesterday evening.
Local people were also told of progress on plans for a major extension at the resort which will result in 250 more permanent jobs when it's built.
Martin Dalby, who's taken on the role of Centre Parcs Chairman in recent weeks says they're extremely happy with the success of the Longford resort.
