Three men have been jailed for a combined 70 years for the abduction and torture of Kevin Lunney.
The man known as YZ was described in Court today as playing a leading role and will serve 30 years in prison.
Mr Justice Tony Hunt said the offences before the Special Criminal Court were of exceptional circumstances.
He said the attack on Kevin Lunney in September 2019 was deliberate, callous and vicious.
40-year-old YZ was said to have played a leading role in the attack and was also involved in previous surveillance.
He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
40-year-old Alan O Brien of East Wall in Dublin was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
The Court was told 27-year-old Darren Redmond, also from East Wall in Dublin should be given some credit for his young age and previous good record.
He was sentenced to 18 years in prison with the final 3 suspended.
Ending the proceedings Justice Tony Hunt thanked Mr Lunney for his evidence and victim impact statement, as well as GardaÃ, PSNI and witnesses for their assistance in the case.
