57 patients with the disease are in hospital - down 3 in 24 hours. The number in ICU has also dropped by 4 over that time to 19.
The National Public Health Emergency Team says it's willing to review its stance on antigen testing for international travel if it's presented with scientific or "real-world" evidence.
It spent the day before the Oireachtas Transport Committee explaining why it does not think antigen testing for international travel would be effective.
The Committee had previously been told antigen testing was more efficient than PCR testing for aviation, which NPHET today disputed.
