4 water supplies in the Shannonside Northern Sound region were classified as 'at risk' last year.
The figures are contained in the latest Environmental Protection Agency annual drinking water report
The EPA’s Remedial Action List sets out "at-risk" supplies that require significant corrective action.
Supplies can be placed on the list based on 4 Criteria including the presence of E-Coli bacteria in the water or excessive levels of chemicals.
According to the report, 4 water supplies in the Shannonside Northern Sound region were noted as needing corrective actions.
These included the North West Regional Supply in Roscommon, the Longford Central and Granard Supplies in Longford, and the Belturbet Supply in Cavan.
18 areas on the RAL did not have planned work completion dates, with 4 being on the list for over a year, which included the Longford Central Supply.
Nationally, a total of 58 supplies were on the Remedial Action List, up from 52 on the previous year.
