Close to 400 people have closed their pandemic unemployment payment this week across the Shannonside Northern Sound region.
The number claiming the support continues to slowly fall across the region.
Nationally, the number of people claiming the PUP in total, fell by 6,200, with the Department of Social Protection paying out over 132 million euro today.
Monaghan recorded the largest jump in the region of people closing their claim, with 6,090 people remaining on the payment, a drop of 117 from last week.
In Cavan, the number of people in receipt of the support fell from 6,572 to 6,465, a reduction of 107.
In the Shannonside region, 76 people have returned to work this week in Roscommon with 5,166 still getting the P.U.P.
Longford and Leitrim both recorded a drop in figures, with 61 and 34 people respectively closing their claims for the payment.
Nationally, the sector with the highest number of people receiving the pandemic unemployment payment this week is the Accommodation and Food Service activities
