Almost 60 people have been convicted of drink driving offences across the Shannonside region in the first nine months of this year.
Freedom of Information figures released to Shannonside FM by the courts service reveal Longford District Court saw the highest number of people convicted from January 1st to September 31st at 30.
In Roscommon a total of 29 people were found guilty in the same period with nine in the county town, five in Castlerea, and a further five in Strokestown and just one in Ballaghaderreen.
Carrick-on-Shannon district court convicted a total of ten people while three motorists were found guilty of driving while intoxicated in Manorhamilton.
