A 73-year-old man in Ballinamore was forced to wait two hours for an ambulance last Saturday afternoon, according to a councillor. Fianna Fáil's Gary Prior says the man started to feel weak in a local shop and made his way home. But he endured a long wait for paramedics to arrive before he was brought to Cavan Hospital.
Councillor Prior says the issue highlights the need for an ambulance base in Ballinamore.
