Leitrim Gardaí have made two arrests and issued more than 80 fixed penalty notices in relation to a large funeral in Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday.
Locals have been expressing frustration after 100s of people arrived in the Leitrim town yesterday afternoon.
The funeral in Carrick-on-Shannon for a member of the traveller community saw around 300 people attend the burial.
Large crowds reportedly gathered in a temporary marquee at the Shannonside View estate near the town.
Two people were arrested in relation to the incident on Wednesday over public order offences.
Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon have also confirmed that over 80 FPNs were issued to individuals found to be in breach of travel restrictions and an investigation into the organisers of the marquee has been launched.
