89 homeless presentations in Roscommon in nine months

89 individuals or households presented as homeless to Roscommon County Council in the first nine months of this year.

The council is allocating €30,000 in its budget for next year to homeless services.

New figures also show there are also 336 people on the council's social housing waiting list.

Ballaghaderreen councillor Micheál Frain says the homeless situation has worsened due to immigration.
