89 per cent of adults and children over 12 in Leitrim have received both doses of a coved vaccine as of November 17th, with all local electoral areas reporting at or over 90 per cent coverage.
The Longford Town area has the lowest levels locally with 83 per cent of the populace having received both doses, while levels in Granard and Ballymahon MDs are closer to the national average of over 90 per cent.
Community Vaccine centres remain open for first and second doses. The Government is planning to speed up the roll out of booster jabs.
Nationally, areas of Cavan, Monaghan, Kerry and Dublin City have been found to have the lowest levels of vaccine uptake compared to the rest of the country.
