Close to 100 patients in local hospitals are currently Covid Positive according to figures from the HSE, with 11 more suspected cases also admitted across the region.
Of these, 14 are receiving treatment in regional critical care units as of last night.
Galway University Hospital has the second-highest level of Covid patients with confirmed cases of the virus receiving treatment today at 26.
That's followed closely by Sligo University Hospital where an ongoing series of outbreaks has resulted in both staff and patients testing positive for Covid-19 with 22 patients currently on site with the virus.
Four patients are in the Sligo Hospital's ICU with Covid, while just one is in the critical care unit in UHG.
Our Lady's Hospital in Drogheda is dealing with 18 patients with the coronavirus with 5 of those in the intensive care unit.
Cavan General Hospital and the Midland's Regional Hospital in Tullamore both have 10 Covid positive patients admitted today.
In Mullingar, there are five patients in the hospital with the virus, followed by Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe where just 2 admitted patients have tested positive for Covid-19.
Nationally, 314 people are in the country's hospitals with the disease, down one from yesterday.
