His love of the motor industry was noted at his funeral Mass in St Asicus' Church this morning, with keys to his van, a mobile phone and a screwdriver among the gifts brought up.

Roscommon businessman Pat McCrann has been remembered as a "mountain of love" at his funeral in Frenchpark.

The 50-year-old died last Thursday evening when a tyre exploded while he was working on the family farm in Sheepwalk.

His love of the motor industry was noted at his funeral Mass in St Asicus' Church this morning, with keys to his van, a mobile phone and a screwdriver among the gifts brought up.

He ran Pat McCrann Tyres in Frenchpark, and Fr Michael Donnelly remembered his generosity.

Giving the eulogy, Pat's neighbour Anne Marie Larkin also remembered his humility.
