A Government Minister and local TD is urging schools to apply for a newly launched multi million euro transport infrastructure scheme for students and staff.
The 'Safe Routes to School Scheme' aims to create safer walking and cycling routes to help alleviate congestion at school drop off points.
The grant, which was launched today by government, will see 15 million euro provided for the construction of of infrastructure to allow students to safely walk or cycle to school.
