Roscommon town is set to host a number of events today as part of Africa Day 2024.
The annual celebration takes place in the new-look Square from midday today. Visitors will get to experience drumming workshops, dancers, music and food with the event running until 5 o'clock this evening. Organiser Susuana Komolafe recently thanked Roscommon County Council for its support of the event.
Speaking at the recent launch at Áras an Chontae, she said Africa Day was important for mutual respect:
