The three-county Garda operational model active in the Shannonside region needs to be changed according to the AGSI. The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors have made the call as part of it's annual conference today. 170 delegates will attend the meeting in Westport where recruitment and retention of members will also be on the agenda.
Garda in the Shannonside region operate under two Garda Divisions, the Sligo-Leitrim Division and the Roscommon, Longford and Mayo Division.
