A Roscommon support worker is warning that there are increasingly visible and alarming gaps in efforts to help Ukrainian refugees.
John Lannon who is from Rooskey is CEO of a national migrant and refugee support organisation called Doras.
He says while the government has started off well with providing easy access to PPS numbers and emergency accommodation, there needs to be much more long term planning.
The Doras CEO says they have large numbers of Ukrainians calling who need additional and more specialised support and this is no doubt repeated across the country.
He says there needs to be a more co-ordinated response from government with proper resources put in at each local authority level.
