A Longford student has been awarded an All-Ireland scholarship at an awards ceremony in Limerick. Daniela Rana, a former pupil of Mean Scoil Mhuire in Longford, was honoured at the All-Ireland Scholarships Awards Ceremony on 30th March in the University of Limerick,
The ceremony was attended by scholarship sponsor JP McManus as well as Minister of State at the Department of Further and Higher Education, Niall Collins. Daniela, who is currently studying at UCD and is a member of the Shannonside News team, said she was thrilled to receive the award.
