Almost 150 drivers in the Shannonside region were disqualified from driving in the first five months of this year.
According to the Department of Transport, there were 69 in Roscommon, 53 in Longford and 24 in Leitrim.
Some were disqualified because they got too many penalty points, while others were barred from driving by the courts.
It comes as 93 people have died on Irish roads this year - up eight on the same period last year.
