Almost 2,300 homes, farms and businesses in the Shannonside region are without electricity, because of the strong winds this morning.
It comes as a status yellow wind and rain warning is in place for 15 counties.
Munster, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo will stay under the alert until 3pm.
While a second yellow alert for wind comes into place for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo from 3pm until midnight.
As of 10am, here are the power outages in the Shannonside region:
Co Roscommon: Ballinagare – 501; Frenchpark – 452; Tulsk – 44.
Co Leitrim: Gorvagh – 63; Aughavas – 165; Carrigallen – 127; Newtowngore – 16; Drumsna – 160; Killargue – 70.
Co Longford: Ardagh - 670
The ESB is hoping to restore power to these properties by this evening.
Senator Gareth Scahill, from Castlerea, told our reporter Eoghan Murphy he's hopeful the power cuts will be fixed later today:
Castlerea is still under a boil water notice because of torrential rain on Friday, and the impact it had on the supply.
