A total of 241 people have returned to work in the Shannonside region this week according to new figures from the Department of Social Protection.
The 241 people closed their Pandemic Unemployment Payments since last week, leaving a total of 4,830 of people still in receipt of the funding across the three counties of Roscommon, Longford and Leitrim.
In Roscommon 117 people have stopped the support this week, leaving 2,294 still claiming PUP.
Longford has 1,365 people still on the payment after 66 more people stopped the claim, and in Leitrim the figure of those getting the payment now stands at 1,171, with 58 people having left the scheme.
Nationally, a total of 62 million euro in PUP supports is being paid into the accounts of 212,000 following the ending of 9,200 claims.
