The ESB is hoping to restore power to the remaining households by this afternoon, with all weather warnings now lifted.

Almost 800 homes, farms and businesses in the Shannonside region are still without power, after Storm Ashley battered the country yesterday.

The ESB is hoping to restore power to the remaining households by this afternoon, with all weather warnings now lifted.

In Leitrim, there are still outages in Keshcarrigan, Drumcong, Fenagh, Ballinamore and Aughnasheelin.

Drumshanbo councillor Enda McGloin explains what it was like in his area yesterday.

In the Roscommon/east Galway area, there are still power blackouts in Fairymount, Elphin, Boyle, Glenamaddy, Rahara, Brideswell and Rooskey.

In Longford, there are still customers without power in Ballinamuck, Granard and Legan.
