Almost €200,000 worth of funding announced for local sports partnerships

Almost €200,000 has been allocated to the Local Sports Partnerships of the Shannonside region. It's among a boost of €2.26 million across the country under the new Participation Nation Outdoor Fund. The fund is designed to support the installation of barrier-free outdoor sport infrastructure for public use in local community settings.

Longford will receive €56,250 for the Albert Reynolds Peace Park. €67,500 will go towards the municipal areas of Ballinamore, Carrick on Shannon, Manorhamilton and Keedra Lake in county Leitrim and Roscommon Town will be in receipt of €60,000.
