Planning permission is being sought for amendments to a previously granted windfarm development in Roscommon.
An application has been submitted to Roscommon planners by Peter Gillooly for changes to plans approved in 2011 for 2 wind turbines at Derrane and Roxborrough.
The proposed combined output of the two turbines would be 4.9 megawatts.
The newly sought amendments seek a range of adjustments including the increase of turbine 1 hub height to 95.5 metres, which would increase the blade tip height to 164.6 metres.
Turbine 2 will have a hub height and blade tip height of 81 metres and 150 metres respectively.
Also included in the new planning application is relocation of underground electric cabling, relocation of the access road and the installation of a transformer and battery storage unit.
The applicant is also seeking permission to incorporate a proposed module control and switch room and ESB module MV station.
Roscommon county planners will make their decision in the coming months.
