Families face difficulties accessing dentists who can work with special needs children

Children with autism already face significant costs for many treatments not currently provided under the public system according to Senator Carrigy

Families should not have to go private to access dentists who are properly trained to work with children with special needs.

This comes from Longford senator, Micheál Carrigy, who recently called for more specialists to be recruited into the HSE.

At a recent Seanad hearing, the Fine Gael politician pointed out children with autism already face significant costs for many treatments not currently provided under the public system.
