An Garda Síochána have confirmed a number of high profile appointments and allocations in local divisions. This follows a number of promotions and consequential transfers in the force. An Garda Síochána confirmed the appointments and new allocations on the 19th of August. The appointments saw a number of high profile transfers across the Shannonside region.
Superintendent Jason Miley's promotion sees him move to Roscommon where he'll oversee the Mayo/Roscommon/Longford Division. Superintendent Barry Mills will also move to Roscommon Garda Station. A number of appointments were also confirmed during July including former Roscommon Superintendent Thomas Colsh's move to the Sligo/Leitrim Division. Finally, Superintendent Micheal Dorrigan has transferred to Longford Garda Station while Superintendent Francis Finn has been promoted to Castlerea Garda Station.
