An Post is defending the controversial decision to move Roscommon Post Office away from a historic building - saying the changes won't affect customers much. There was a backlash earlier this year when the company said it would move from its current location on The Square - a protected structure built in 1911.
An Post then agreed to seek a contractor to take over the business in its current premises. But now public affairs manager with the company, Angus Laverty, says the changes in Roscommon are very common throughout the country:
