Temperatures could reach 26 degrees again today, for the second day in a row.
Yesterday Shannon Airport recorded a high of 26.2 degrees, marking the hottest day of the year.
Mount Dillon on the Roscommon-Longford border recorded a temperature of 25.3 degrees.

Met Eireann expects another warm day ahead, though cloud will thicken across the west and north this evening bringing patchy rain to the area.
